Your first appointment will take approximately 45 - 60 minutes to allow us time for both a thorough assessment and treatment. To enable us to fully assess your symptoms, we will ask you to describe your problem and how it is affecting your daily activities and sports. We will ask you about any relevant medical history and medication. If you have reports following investigations such as X-rays or scans, it would be helpful to bring these to your consultation. All information given at your consultation is confidential.

An in-depth assessment of the body area involved will be carried out. Depending upon the region being examined, you may wish to bring shorts/vest top with you to change into.

The assessment will usually allow us to reach a diagnosis and we will discuss options before commencing treatment. A range of effective techniques are available and treatment will often involve both hands-on therapy and specific exercises. We will advise you of the expected length of recovery -  our aim is to get you better as quickly as possible and to help you return to your usual activities.

Following our assessment, if we consider that you require further medical investigations, scans or X-rays, we will recommend onward referral.

We are registered with all major health insurance companies including BUPA, AXA/PPP, CIGNA, PruHealth, Standard Life and AVIVA. If you wish to use private medical insurance, please contact your insurance company to confirm your cover for physiotherapy.
